Wildlife ....
Many native birds can be seen visiting our garden. A satin bower bird has recently built a bower underneath some murraya. In the photo top left can be seen blue objects that have been collected by the male.

Other birds we frequently see are parrots and blue wrens. At night we can sometimes hear and see tawny frogmouths.

We usually see at least one red bellied black snake each year, with the odd brown snake as well. These are not visitors I am comfortable with.

Blue tongue lizards keep down the snail population and are welcome visitors, as are the many skinks.

Evidence of possums is everywhere. At night we can hear them calling as well as loudly running across our tin roof. In the morning we can see where they have been feeding during the night. Over the years they have fed on every climber I have tried to grow over one particular pergola. Despite this, I am pleased possums live with us.
